Fellowship

The Fellowship Ministry is about creating and sustaining social ties with those with whom we already share a common bond in worship. It is another way we come together regularly as a church family. We try to offer activities for specific groups as well as intergenerational, coed and families.

Opportunities
Fellowship activities are often combined with study and worship events such as Lenten programs and Ladies Advent Tea.

Other opportunities include:

Knit with Prayer                                                     Chautaqua Getaway (January)

Card night                                                              Book Discussion

Men's softball                                                         Potluck suppers                                          Coffee hour between Sunday services                  Baking Cookies

Youth events                                                         YAC (Youth and Christ) High School age

(refer to the youth page for more info).

December seems a long way away but we will be starting to plan our Advent Tea very soon. We will be emailing or calling those who did certain jobs last year to see if they would be willing to do that task again. We will then be looking for additional volunteers to help with this meaningful evening. If you would like to help in anyway, WATCH FOR SIGN-UP SHEET OR Contact: Linda Radefeld

  Coffee Hours

Have you signed up to host a Sunday morning Coffee Hour?  You can host alone or with a few friends.  Look for the sign-up sheet on the kiosk.  There is an instruction guide there also.  This is an important time of fellowship with each other before and after church.  Help us continue this practice.

Lake Chautauqua Getaway

January 11—13

LCLCWe will soon be caught up in the hustle and bustle of another beautiful and busy holiday season from Thanksgiving through Christmas. Why not set your sights on a respite afterwards, gathered around a roaring fire, cozy on a cold January night, at our Lake Chautauqua Getaway with your church family? Mark your calendars now for this relaxing and fun weekend in January (11-13).

Many of us hunker down for the weekend and play games and work puzzles together, while others spend some time catching up on reading. The adventurous type take to the nearby slopes or enjoy the outdoors hiking the grounds . . . There is something for everyone!

We offer a hearty breakfast both Saturday and Sunday morning, and have a simple church service together Sunday morning after breakfast. Lunch and dinner are on your own, although most gather in groups to go to the local eateries. You are welcome to bring your own food, and of course, a snack to share.

There are two room accommodations . . . One has a double bed with a trundle; the other has a double bed and a twin bed. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

There is a sign-up sheet with pictures in the Gathering Space. Please contact Jeanne Travaglianti if you have any questions . . . jctbeantown@gmail.com or 440.667.9803
