Spiritual Enrichment

In September of 2016, Pamela Czarnota retired from being on staff as an Associate In Ministry here at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church. She has been a friend, colleague, trusted confidant, and a  tremendous spiritual direction/faith formation resource for us here, but also, for the Northeast Ohio Synod as well as the wider church. Her gifts and talents will be missed; however I think Pastor Randy said it correctly in the September Insight when he wrote, “while our AIM on staff is leaving us –Pamela is not. I am grateful and happy that her presence and gifts will still be around our community of faith – and whether here physically or not, may our halls still echo with those questions of faith: “Where do you see God in all of this?” “How is God a part of that process?” “How are you discerning what God is calling you or CRLC toward?”

These are all questions that Pamela asked a lot—and I think they are ones that we need to keep in mind in all aspects of our ministry. As we highlighted at the annual congregational meeting on November 20, 2016, we want to preserve the spirit of Pamela’s work and make it a permanent fixture in our ministry. We want to do this by helping people walk out their call in a multitude of ways—and to answer these questions—with the Spiritual Enrichment Fund.

This is a fund that will be available for CRLC members to take advantage of opportunities to walk out their call in new and wonderful ways. This is a fund that we will make a part of our budget, but it will be a fund that members can designate dollars towards to help folks in our parish grow and thrive. The CRLC leadership is committed to this fund, but we know that we are tremendously blessed with the resources for folks to add to this fund and help it grow.

We are very excited about offering this opportunity and have designed an application form that can be found by clicking here.  If you are in the midst of discerning where you are with a project—and asking “Where do you see God in all of this?”—ask any of the Vision Board members and/or Pastor Randy for more information about the Spiritual Enrichment Fund.  Get ready to start “Praising God and Serving Others” in new and thoughtful ways that will challenge and change us.
